Juveniles Steal Car in Darien

The car was found at Indian Prairie Library.

A Darien juvenile was sent to juvenile court after he was seen trying to leave the library with a car that had been reported stolen. 

Police reported that a car was taken from a parking lot in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road sometime between 7 p.m. Sept. 1 and 10 a.m. Sept. 2. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the car was located at the Indian Prairie Library in Darien. 

About 45 minutes after the car was located, police saw three juveniles try to leave with it. They were arrested and released to their parents. Darien police said one juvenile was a direct file to juvenile court.
