Meth Lab, 600 Pounds of Pot Seized in Major Drug Arrests

Darien Man Charged in Police Seizure of 600 Pounds of Marijuana

A Darien man was one of five people charged in a police sting that netted about 600 pounds of marijuana in November.

Dean A. Dziuba, 55, of the 1100 block of Lodgepole Court in Darien, was charged with cannabis trafficking, unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver and unlawful possession of cannabis. 


Police Remove Meth Lab from Woodridge Apartment

Local and state police removed a small working meth lab from a Woodridge apartment in May. Woodridge police said they arrived at the Quarters in Woodridge apartment complex to serve an arrest warrant for theft to Michael Dehlinger.

The 22-year-old was taken into custody after attempting to flee and is being held on the arrest warrant at the DuPage County Jail, according to police.While on the scene, police said they discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the apartment, including a small meth lab.

John Stark, 25, of the 2300 block of Lane Street in Topeka, also was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with Class X possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Stark was also taken to the DuPage County Jail. Dehlinger is charged with theft, battery, resisting or obstructing a police officer and the unauthorized use of federal food stamps, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's website
