Missing: Four Baby Jesuses

Three decorations out of the four baby Jesuses were stolen Dec. 19, Darien police said.

Christmas decorations were stolen Dec. 19 from the yards of four homes, said. 

Baby Jesus figures were among the items taken in each instance.

Baby Jesus, along with three toy soldiers, went missing sometime between noon and 4 p.m. from the front of a home on the 300 block of 68th Street, police said. The decorations were worth about $100.

Another baby Jesus was lifted from the front lawn of a home on the 600 block of 69th street sometime between 9 and 11 p.m. The figure was worth about $20. 

The third baby Jesus was not safe, even in his mother's arms.

A figure of the Virgin Mary holding her child was taken from the front lawn of a home on the 600 block of 70th Street sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. The statue was worth about $20.

Just more than a week later, a fourth baby Jesus was stolen from a home on the 400 block of Maple. This decoration, worth about $50, went missing between 11 p.m. Dec. 27 and 5 p.m. Dec. 28.
