More Than $200 Worth of Power Tools Stolen From Garage

Two cordless saws were among the items reported missing by the Downers Grove homeowner, according to police reports.

A Downers Grove homeowner called police Thursday after noticing more than $200 worth of power tools were taken from his garage, according to reports.

Police responded to a call Thursday, July 8, from the resident, who lives in the 5700 block of Washington Street, after he noticed a duffel bag, two cordless saws and other accessories missing from his garage when he went out there to retrieve the bag, according to a Downers Grove police report. The total value of the items taken is about $210, the report added. The homeowner said the last time he used the tools was July 2, and he placed them in the bag, the report stated. 

No signs of forced entry were seen at the scene, and police have no suspects, the report stated.
