Holes in a window
Someone put two holes in a double-paned window on the front side of a home on the 7700 block of Williams around 11 a.m., said. It’s not clear how the holes were made or how much it will cost to fix the window.
Saturday, May 26Cards and roses taken from Jewel
A man took a bouquet of roses and several greeting cards from the Jewel-Osco at 7335 Cass Ave. around 11 a.m., police said. Police described the suspect as a black man who is about 40-years-old and weighing 185 pounds, wearing a dark shirt and shiny gray jogging pants.

Three overnight car burglaries
A burglar shattered the driver’s side window of a car parked overnight in the driveway of a home on the 1900 block of Mc Adam Road, police said. The offender took two gift cards, for a combined loss between $50 and $100.
Five dollars in loose change was taken that night from an unlocked car parked in the driveway of a home on the same block.

A few blocks away, CDs and a Hybrid G-Force performance chip were taken from three cars parked in a driveway on the 1900 block of 71st Street, police said. It’s unclear how the burglars got in the cars. The total loss was about $200.
Thursday, May 24Stolen wallet
A woman went to pick up a wallet she lost around 9:30 a.m. at the Speedway at 8301 Lemont Road, police said. The clerk told her someone had placed the wallet on the counter and then another person took it, the report said. The wallet and its contents were worth about $170.
Damaged windows
Someone caused about $1,000 in damage to two windows on the back side of a house on the 2000 block of Harper around 12:45 a.m., police said. It’s unclear how the damage happened.
Wednesday, May 23Cell phone slight
A 16-year-old Willowbrook boy was charged with theft after he went up to a person at Darien Community Park, asked to use the person’s cell phone and ran away with it, police said. The victim was able to identify the suspect in the incident, which happened around 4 p.m., according to the report.
Stolen magnets
Two magnets were taken from a car parked overnight in the driveway of a home on the 2900 block of Meadow, police said. The magnets were worth about $40.
Monday, May 21Purse lifted at Indian Prairie
A woman’s purse was taken between 4 and 4:30 p.m. while she was at Indian Prairie Public Library, police said. The purse and its contents were worth about $300.
Thursday, May 17Broken window
Someone shattered a large front window on a home on the 8400 block of Parkview sometime between 7 a.m. May 12 and 2 p.m. May 17, police said. The window was worth about $300.
