Back door egged

Vandals egged the back door of a business in a strip mall in the 7500 block of Cass Avenue sometime between midnight Nov. 6 and 7:35 a.m. Nov. 8.

Sunday, Nov. 7

Attempted shoplifting at Walmart

Dolores M. Siver, 18, of the 7300 block of Country Creek Way, Downers Grove, was arrested around 10:50 a.m. at the 75th Street , police said. She was charged with retail theft after several items, valued at $25.13, were found in her purse, police said.

Saturday, Nov. 6

DUI arrest on Plainfield

Victor A. Martinez, 21, of Marybeth Lane, Hinsdale, was arrested on the 800 block of Plainfield Road around 2:20 a.m., police said. Martinez verbally assaulted officers while resisting arrest, police said. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, resisting an officer, battery, improper lane use, speeding, an improper turn, disobeying a red light and driving with a license suspended due to a number of traffic violations, police said.

DUI arrest near Cass and Timber

Wendy M. Kosiek, 40, of the 8800 block of Clifton Way, Mokena, was arrested around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Cass Avenue and Timber Lane, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after police said they saw her driving northbound between the left and right lanes of Cass.

Tossed pumpkin damages mailbox

Someone threw a pumpkin at a mailbox on the 8500 block of Ailsworth Court around 9:20 p.m., breaking the mailbox into pieces, police said. The pumpkin caused $200 worth of damage to the mailbox.

House egged and toilet-papered

Someone egged and toilet-papered a house on the 3300 block of Drover Lane between 10 p.m. Nov. 3 and 5 a.m. Nov. 4, police said.

Tuesday, Nov. 2

Playground vandalized

Vandals spray-painted graffiti on the playground and a bench at , 3201 Drover Lane, sometime between midnight Nov. 1 and 1 p.m. Nov. 2, police said. The damage is estimated at $50.
