Police Blotter: Christmas Decorations Stolen, Damaged

A resident reported holiday decorations missing and thrown around the yard just days before Christmas, Darien police said.

Merry Christmas?

Not for one resident, who days before Christmas found her outdoor decorations broken or missing.

At about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 21, a resident in the 400 block of 67th Street told Darien police that several lighted decorations were broken and thrown around her yard.

One reindeer decoration was also reported missing.

The officer who responded to the call said several decorations were found laying in a nearby ditch. Most of the decorations were kicked around the yard, the resident said, but some were damaged and had the electrical cords pulled out of them.
