Police Blotter: Darien Bar Bouncer Punched by Patron

Darien police reports, Nov. 17-21.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 21

Protection Order Violated

Eric Steinhardt, 48, of the 500 block of Lakeside Drive in Lisle, was charged with violating an order of protection. Police say he was within 1,000 feet of the victim during a custody exchange in the Darien Police Department parking lot. He was taken to DuPage County Jail after being processed at the police station.

Bar Bouncer Punched

Jan Neupauer, 42, of the 7300 block of Tennessee in Darien, was charged with battery. Police say that when Neupauer was asked to leave Q Bar, 8109 Cass Ave., at 1:01 a.m., he punched the bouncer in the face. Neupauer was given a Dec. 26 court date.

Retail Theft

Colin P. Kanehl, 18, of the 5700 block of College Road in Lisle, was charged with retail theft. Police say he tried to steal various electronic items valued at $111.92. He was issued a local ordinance citation and has a pending court date.
