Minor nabbed with marijuana, alcohol

Phillip P. Cooper, Jr., 18, of the 500 block of Maple Avenue in Lisle, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. on the 6700 block of Alabama, police said. Police smelled marijuana coming from Cooper’s car, and when they searched it they found both marijuana and a case of beer, according to the report. Cooper was charged with cannabis possession and possession of alcohol by a minor, police said.

Teen rides mini-bike on sidewalk

A 15-year-old Willowbrook boy was arrested around 4 p.m. near the intersection of 75th Street and Clarendon Hills Road, police said, after he had driven a mini-bike on both the street and sidewalk. He didn’t have proper registration or insurance, police said. Before being released to his mother he was charged with disorderly conduct, driving without valid registration, driving without a valid license and driving a motor vehicle on a sidewalk, police said.

Home burglary

A resident returned home to the 9200 block of Waterfall Glen Road around 4 p.m. and found the front door lock on the floor, police said. A Net book computer worth about $300 was missing from the home, according to the report.

Stolen garbage sticker           

A garbage sticker was stolen between 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. from a garbage can placed curbside on the 6700 block of Leonard, police said. The sticker was worth about $2.50, according to the report.

Nail guns lifted from Home Depot

A shoplifter took two Passlode nail guns from the 75th Street Home Depot around 9:35 a.m., police said. He was seen leaving the store through the garden center and drove away in a silver Nissan, according to the report. The nail guns were worth about $600.
