Police Blotter: Marijuana Possession, Shoplifted Sleeping Pills

Public urination

Alejandro Arzaga, 35, of the 500 block of Seventh Street in LaSalle, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. at Q Billiards, 8100 Cass Ave., said. A patrol officer said he saw Arzaga urinating on a friend’s truck. He was cited with public urination and his friend drove him home.

Car burglary

A patrol officer noticed a light on inside of a car parked on the 1000 block of 71st Street, which led him to see the front door was open, police said. The car’s owner said two iPods were missing.

Marijuana possession

Sarah R. Anderson, 18, of the 500 block of Chestnut Lane in Darien, and a male juvenile, also of Darien, were arrested around 2:50 p.m. near the intersection of Regency Grove and Wildwood, police said. Officers arrested the two while conducting surveillance after receiving a drug-dealing complaint, the report said. Both teens were charged with cannabis possession and released with court dates pending.

Stolen snow blower

A Toro snow blower was taken from a detached garage overnight on the 7100 block of Fairview, police said. The snow blower was worth about $540.

Shoplifting at Walmart

Vincenzo A. Mastrodomenico, 41, of the 1300 block of Greenbriar Lane in Darien, was arrested around 10:20 a.m. at the 75th Street Walmart, police said. Store security said they saw Mastrodomenico slip a bottle of Rapid Sleep PM in his pocket before leaving the store. Darien police pulled him over after identifying his license plate, according to the report. He was charged with retail theft and released with court dates pending.

Stolen recycling bins

Someone stole two Allied Waste recycling bins, worth about $100, from Tri-State Fire Protection District between 7 a.m. April 27 and 7 p.m. April 28, police said.
