Rash of Mailboxes Damaged

Three separate reports of damaged mailboxes came into Darien Police on Halloween. The first report was at 2:40 a.m. in the 100 block of 67th Street. The total loss was estimated at $66.

At 10:12 a.m., a resident in the 7000 block of High Road that the mailbox at the end of the driveway was damaged. The total loss was estimated at $50. Another resident in the 6900 block of High Road told police at 1:37 p.m. that the mailbox was damaged. The loss was estimated at $100.

Theft of Services

A cab driver told police that a passenger fled the ride without paying his $75 fare at 5:48 p.m. in the 700 block of Walnut.
