Police Blotter: Woman Charged With Having Drug Pipe in Taco Bell Lot

Drug possession

A male juvenile was arrested around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fairview and Judson, said. Officers said they found him sitting unmoving in a gully. He fled when the officers approached him, according to the report. The officers caught the boy and said they found marijuana on him when they searched him at the police station. He was charged with fleeing the police and cannabis possession. 

Darien man charged with DUI in Plainfield

Michael Wegrzyn, 35, of the 9400 block of Waterfall Glen Boulevard in Darien, was arrested by the Plainfield Policed Department at about 1:55 p.m. at Fraser Road and Route 59 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Soliciting without a permit

Mario T. Massenburg, 21, of the 6100 block of Newburry Lane in Matteson, was arrested on the 7500 block of Wilton around 7:20 p.m., police said. A resident complained that Massenburg was selling magazine subscriptions door-to-door without a permit, police said. He was cited with soliciting without a permit and released.

Possession of drug equipment

Janel M. Lapuma, 19, of the 200 block of Oakton Street in Elk Grove Village, was arrested at Taco Bell, 7419 Cass Avenue, around 10 p.m., police said. Officers said they smelled marijuana coming from her car. They found a glass pipe in the center console when they searched her car, according to the report. Lapuma was charged with possession of drug equipment with court dates pending.

Shoplifting at Walmart

A Westmont teen took two gaming headphones and an Xbox controller from the 75th Street Walmart, police said. Police charged the 16-year-old boy with retail theft.
