Curfew violation

A male teen from La Grange and a female teen from Clarendon Hills were cited for breaking curfew around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Plainfield and Bailey Road, said. Officers pulled over the boy, who was driving, for disobeying a stop sign, the report said.

Saturday, Feb. 18

Busted coach light

A $200 coach light was damaged overnight in the front yard of a home on the 1700 block of Coachmans Road, police said.

Woman with 19 cats pockets oil, cheese

Jane A. Dunmyer, 61, of the 100 block of Oak Ridge Drive in Burr Ridge, was arrested around 7:15 a.m. at Brookhaven Marketplace, police said. Store employees stopped her after they saw her put two bottles of cooking oil and one tub of ricotta cheese into her purse, police said. She paid for several other items. Dunmyer told police she has 19 cats and that she took the items because of the economy, according to the report. The items were worth $14.59. Dunmyer was charged with retail theft.

Woman kicks Popeye’s door

A woman damaged the hinges of the door at Popeye’s by kicking it around 7 p.m. after complaining about the restaurant’s service, police said. The manager described her as a 27-year-old black woman in dark business clothes, according to the report.

Screw stuck in tire

Someone put a screw in the tire of a car parked overnight in a parking lot on the 1100 block of 75th Street, police said. The screw caused about $46.14 worth of damage.

Drawings on car

Vandals drew a “v” and a line on the rear drivers side door of a car parked overnight in a parking lot on the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive, police said. It’s not known how the marks were made, but they caused $200 in damage.

There’s the beef!

A woman took two beef tenderloins worth $35 from Brookhaven Marketplace around 11:30 a.m., police said. A witness described her as a white woman between 35 and 40 years old with brown hair and wearing blue jeans, white gym shoes, a long dark jacket, a colored scarf with red ends, and a red shirt with blue and white lettering on the front. She left the parking lot in a pickup truck.

Car doors keyed

Someone keyed the front and rear doors on the drivers side of a Pontiac Grand Prix in a parking lot overnight on the 1500 block of Lakeview, police said.

Retail theft

Joseph J. Spitalli, 61, of th 00s000 block of Washington Street, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. at the 75th Street Walmart, police said. Officers said Spitalli pushed a shopping cart out of the store that contained clothes, milk, candy, lamps, gloves, a beanie, a Valentine’s Day card, trash bags, cable ties, light bulbs, shoes and dog snacks. Spitalli told police that he took the things for his grandson because his son couldn’t afford to buy them, according to the report. The items were worth $188.38. Spitalli was charged with retail theft.
