Police: Bolingbrook Man Rolls Over Car While Fleeing from Officers

Police say the man refused medical attention after rolling his car over one-and-a-half times.

A Bolingbrook man rolled his car over one-and-a-half times while fleeing from along Lemont Road Friday, police said.

James Steinhoff, 22, of the 300 block of Northridge Avenue, drove away when officers tried to pull him over for speeding on the 7600 block of Lemont Road around 12:20 a.m., police said.

He drove off the road near Lemont Road and Interstate 55, where his car flipped over, police said.

Steinhoff declined medical treatment on the scene, police said.

Police said they charged him with violation of bail bond from two previous charges connected with driving on a suspended license. He was also charged with fleeing/attempting to flee a peace officer and speeding, and was charged again with driving on a suspended license, police said.

Steinhoff remains in DuPage County Jail, where his bail was set at $750, according to jail records.
