Map: Four Car Burglaries Reported in Darien

Car burglaries from Nov. 13-20

Sunday, Nov. 20

A Victoria’s Secret bag containing clothes, shoes, a wallet and a credit card were taken from a car in the Walmart parking lot around 3:40 p.m., police said. The victim described the suspect as a black man between the ages of 20 and 30, around 5-foot, 8-inches tall, 125 to 130 pounds, and wearing an orange coat. The items taken were worth about $250.

Friday, Nov. 18
  • A Vizio LCD TV was taken from an unlocked car parked in a driveway on the 1500 block of Pinehurst, police said. The burglar also damaged the car’s interior. The total loss was about $300.
  • The same day a subwoofer and an amplifier were reported missing from another unlocked car parked in the driveway of a home on the 1500 block of Pinehurst, police said. Those items were worth $850. 
Sunday, Nov. 13

Someone rummaged through paperwork and left a book of CDs in the back of an unlocked car parked overnight on the 7800 block of Adams, police said. Nothing was reported missing.
