Police: Passenger Reportedly Cooks Heroin in Pop Can on I-55

A Pontiac woman was charged July 13 with possession of drug paraphernalia after admitting to police that she used heroin while she was a passenger in a car on Interstate 55, police said.

Jessica L. Cool, 23, of the 100 block of Sims Street in Pontiac, allegedly used a pop can to heat and liquefy the heroin, police said.

Police pulled the car over after getting a report that the two people inside were using drugs, according to the report.

The driver, Andrew M. Hallam, 26, of the 600 block of Payson in Pontiac, was charged with driving without a valid license and driving without insurance, police said.
