UPDATE: Missing Darien Woman Found Near Illinois-Missouri Border

A 70-year-old Darien woman with dementia who had been missing since Thursday was found Friday in Winchester, IL, near the Missouri border, said.

Winchester police identified Margaret M. Faul when her car got a flat tire Friday afternoon, Darien Police Officer Nick Skweres said.

Though her condition was not immediately available, Skweres said police "don't have anything to indicate she's in anything other than good condition."

Faul, of the 8500 block of Thistlewood, was last seen leaving her Darien home around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Her credit card was used Friday morning in Springfield, police said. 

Skweres said it's still unclear why Faul left or where she was going.

"We'll find out when she gets back up here and we're able to talk to her," he said.
