Police: Two Burr Ridge Men Charged in Darien Beating

Suspects allegedly assaulted man, threatened his family in December

Two men were arrested in Burr Ridge on Feb. 16 and charged in connection with a December beating that took place in Darien, the said.

Officers pulled over Egidijus Aspega, 39, and Liutauras Stankevicious, 31, both of the 800 block of Village Center Drive in Burr Ridge, and arrested them based on a warrant issued in December, police said.

Aspega and Stankevicious, as well as several other men, are suspected of repeatedly striking another man and threatening him and his family with harm, according to the report. The two men were charged with aggravated battery, mob action, aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

Burr Ridge Deputy Police Chief Tim Vaclav said that his department was familiar with the pair and their vehicle, and had been watching for them since the December incident. 

Both men were taken to DuPage County Jail, the report said.
