Second Trial Date Set for Man Charged With Darien Triple Murder

The trial for Johnny Borizov, accused of the shooting deaths of three members of a family, is slated to begin next spring.

Attorneys in Johnny Borizov's triple murder case have their eyes on a new trial date in the 2010 case: April 2013. During a hearing last week, Judge Daniel Guerin gave the case its second scheduled trial date after a planned January trial was bumped because of an attorney's conflict.

Borizov is accused in the shooting deaths of three members of the Kramer family in March 2010 in a scheme that intended to kill Angela Kramer, the mother of Borizov's son.

Jacob Nodarse, Borizov's codefendant, pleaded guilty, but mentally ill, a year ago to a single murder count in a deal with prosecutors to secure his testimony against Borizov. Nodarse faces a minimum of 45 years in prison when he is eventually sentenced after testifying.
