Thief Swipes Charity Cash from Hinsdale South Desk

About $600 in T-shirt sales money raised by Hinsdale South volleyball players was reported stolen, according to a report.

An envelope with $600 raised as a donation for breast cancer awareness was stolen from Hinsdale South High School, according to a report.

The money was left in a coach’s desk and went missing sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 27, Sun-Times Media reports. Players from the Hinsdale South girls volleyball team had been raising money through t-shirts sales following Volley For The Cure fundraiser on Oct. 18.

Volleyball coach Lisa Martinez noticed the money missing, which disappeared sometime over the weekend, according to the report.
