The biggest challenge will be maintaining the vital link between residents and their city government; to allow access to essential information and documents, in addition to working cooperatively with city staff and elected officials. This needs to be accomplished in a neutral, unbiased and nonpartisan setting.
In light of budget constraints, the new clerk will be challenged to find new technologies to streamline recordkeeping.
