"One of the reasons why I want to continue to run is because my teammates in high school made the experience even better for me. At least for me, this question is more focused on being a part of the cross country team. My closest friends all run cross country and track, and that is how we met each other. All the experiences throughout the four years have been great with them. Just being able to run and compete and hang out with my friends each day is amazing.”

Meagan: “I will be attending Illinois Wesleyan University to study biology (premed) with a minor in Spanish.”

Matt: “I will be going to Illinois Wesleyan University to study psychology.”

Darien Patch: Do you plan to continue your track career after high school?

Donald: “I will be running both cross country and track and field.”

Meagan: “I will be running track and cross country at IWU.”

Matt: “I am doing both cross country and track at Wesleyan.”

Darien Patch: How hard is it to leave Hinsdale South?

Donald: “I will definitely miss high school but I am ready to move on to new adventures.”

Meagan: “I’m excited to leave high school but I don’t want to leave all of my friends. It is going to be hard to leave all the people that I got to know over the years. In a way, the people on the cross country team like my second family. They are such good friends of mine.”

Matt: “Overall, it isn’t too hard leaving South at the moment. That could always change once I graduate but I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life. Wesleyan will be a lot of fun and a great experience, but I’ll of course miss my friends and some of the great teachers I have had over the years.”
