Hinsdale South Yearbook Wins Two National Awards

The 2012 volume of Hinsdale South's 'Vespa' has won awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and the National Scholastic Press Association.

Hinsdale South's yearbook, Vespa, is earning national recognition. The 2012 volume “Hear Me Out” earned two national awards. The Columbia Scholastic Press Association awarded a Gold Medalist Certificate and the National Scholastic Press Association awarded a ranking of First Class.

"This is a tribute to both the hard work of the yearbook staff as well as the support of the school and community," said Jim Kelly, Hinsdale South's yearbook advisor in a media announcement about the win.

The 2012 Editor in Chief was Molly Hogan, is a former Patch contributor, who is currently a freshman at George Washington University in Washington D.C.
