Local Principals Make Good on Cancer Smashers Fundraiser Bet (VIDEO)

Prairieview Principal Janeise Schultz picked up a Lace Elementary School T-shirt Tuesday.

The children in and District 66 raised a combined total of more than during the last week in January.

It was an amazing feat, but it wasn't the end of the story. The districts were competing against each other to see which could raise the most money by selling paper fists for $1 each.

Even though everyone was a winner in the competition, District 61 officially came out on top, raising more than $14,000 for Northwestern University's Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center.

The terms of the bet required the principal from the lower-earning school to wear an item of clothing emblazoned with the other school's logo for a week.
