Take a Swing at Cass 63 Foundation's Annual Golf Outing

Cass 63 hosts Vegas at the Village Golf Outing, Dinner and Auction to raise money for school grants.

UPDATE: The Village Greens Golf Course is underwater after yesterday's downpour, so the golf portion of the event is canceled. The Foundation is working on getting passes to be used at a later date as compensation. The evening events, however, are ON! Cocktail hour starts at 5:30 p.m.

The weather is finally warm and golf season is upon us. Take full advantage of it by attending Cass District 63Foundation for Educational Excellence’s annual  scheduled for Friday at Village Greens Golf Course in Woodridge.

The golf outing will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by cocktails, a BBQ Buffet, a thrilling live auction and a raffle, all from 6-11 p.m.  This will take place at a tented party outside with a “Vegas at the Village” theme.

The purpose of this event is to raise money for the , which comprises and . The foundation aims to improve and enhance educational opportunities for the students.

In previous years, the gold outing has raised $363,000 to support 63 different grants. It is the single biggest fundraiser of the year for Cass 63.

This year, the proceeds will go toward grants for technology enhancements, a library automation system, Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection education training, Hearit Focused Auditory Input System, Classis Literature Comes Alive and Cass mural art supplies.

Raffle prizes this year include a BMW mountain bike, Bears tickets and an iPad 2, just to name a few. The grand prizes of the evening are cash awards of $250, $500 and a whopping $1,000 to three very lucky winners. Raffle tickets cost only $10 a piece or $25 for three.

Sponsorship opportunities include the Platinum level at $1,000, down to whatever amount generous contributors would like. Tickets for the event are $150 for golf and dinner, or only $40 for just dinner. This year there is a student package for eighth-grade students and older to join in the fun.
