Whiz Kid: Bridget Sullivan, Sixth-Grade Multitasker Extraordinaire

School: Cass Jr. High

Accomplishment: Bridget is a multi-talented sixth-grader who can sing, dance and make a mean play on the basketball court. “Bridget is one of the most well-rounded students we have had,” said nominator and Cass teacher Susan Paszkowski. “She is well liked by her peers and teachers because she is so respectful and so personable."  

Key to Awesomeness: Bridget is a whiz kid in every sense of the word, from her stellar grades to her athletic abilities to her success in the arts. She’s achieved grades of 96 percent or higher in each of her classes this year and holds a spot as only one of five sixth-graders in Cass’ gifted program, Paszkowski said. She's also one of the few sixth-graders to participate in the Montini Math Contest.

“[Bridget] goes above and beyond the requirements of assignments and projects in all of her classes,” Paszkowski said.

When she’s not busy maintaining her top-notch academic performance, Bridget actively participates in chorus, advanced ensemble, track, basketball, cross-country, scholastic bowl and student council, Paszkowski said.

Outside of school, Bridget taps away as part of a local dance company. She showcased her skills earlier this month in the Cass Talent Show (see video above).
