Hornet Swimmers post decisive win over conference opponent Leyden!

Hornet swimmers post another conference victory and honor the class of 2013!

Wearing bright pink caps in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and Research, the Hinsdale South Hornet Girls swimmers increased their conference standing to 2-1 in a win over Leyden.

The Hornets won every event, including all three relays, and posted many strong second and third place finishes.

Thursday night was also a night to honor the team's senior class which includes Kelsey Barry, Nicole Beilke, Chloe Belczak, and Gabby Dupont. Escorted by their parents, each girl was honored by all their teammates who lined the pool deck.  Hugs and flowers filled their arms and feather boas were placed around their necks. It was a very touching sight.

Coach Frank Kuchta also was honored as a senior class member as he is retiring at the end of this school year.

The pool looked very festive with posters, streamers and pictures lining the walls, which made the meet even more special for the senior class. The Hornets won at both the Varsity and JV level. Congratulations, senior class and best wishes from your Hornet extended family!!!
