What's Your Favorite New Business From 2012?

Darien and Woodridge welcomed a number of new businesses in 2012, said goodbye to a few and honored others for their longtime commitment to the community.

Small business is often said to be the backbone of a community, and in 2012 we saw Darien and Woodridge bring in a handful of new businesses. Of course, with each year we must say goodbye to some local favorites, such as Smashburger this year.  Still, it's great to see longtime local businesses honored for their commitment to the community. Card Frenzy Opens in Darien

Think .29 cents. “Not only is it the price [of our merchandise] but the variety,” says co-owner Michael Perri. “We have every caption and every solution. We even carry ‘congratulations on your driver’s license’ and foreign language cards—all at value prices.” Card Frenzy opened at Lemont Road 7511 in December.
