Police: Woman Leaves Toddlers in Car Because They're 'Difficult to Shop With'

Emily R. Bolin, of Westmont, was charged with endangering the life of a child.

A Westmont woman was charged with endangering the life of a child after leaving toddlers in the car to make her shopping a bit easier, police said. Emily R. Bolin, 24, of the 6700 block of Aspen in Westmont, was arrested Dec. 7 in the parking lot of Brookhaven Marketplace, 7516 Cass Ave., at about 12:42 p.m. "Bolin stated that she left the kids in the car for 10 to 15 minutes because it was difficult to shop with them," police said.  The children, a 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, were turned over to their father.  Bolin was charged with endangering the life or health of a child. Mother Pleads Guilty to Endangering Children at Darien Gas Station

Georgina Burr and her husband Andrew Burr were arrested on Christmas Eve after police say they left their children in a running car while they shot heroin inside a Darien gas station.

Following after her husband's plea with prosecutors, Georgina Burr pleaded guilty Aug. 27 to heroin possession in connection with their Christmas Eve arrests at a Darien gas station. Georgina Burr was sentenced to 82 days in DuPage County Jail, receiving 41 days credit, and was placed on two years of probation centered on drug treatment. She must complete evaluations and counseling as part of her deal with prosecutors, according to court records. Police arrested Georgina and Andrew Burr, both of Walnut, Ill., after a witness reported the couple left their children in a running car. Both entered the women's bathroom where they shot heroin, authorities have said. Georgina Burr also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of child endangerment…

Out of Town Blotter: Woman Charged on Child Endangerment Warrant

Naperville police arrested the woman Wednesday on a warrant issued by the Darien Police.

Ashley Anne King, 27, of the 25000 block of West Equestrian Lane, Shorewood, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. She was charged on an original warrant for endangering the health of a child, which was issued by the Darien Police Department.

Man Accused of Shooting Up in Darien Gas Station to Appear in Court

Andrew Burr was charged with child endangerment and felony drug possession, police said.

A married couple from the western Illinois town of Walnut has been indicted on heroin possession charges connected to their Christmas Eve arrest in Darien. Darien police arrested Andrew and Georgina Burr Dec. 24 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment. Prosecutors allege the couple left their two children in a running car while they shot up heroin in a gas station bathroom. Andrew Burr is scheduled to appear for arraignment on Monday. Georgina Burr has a Feb. 6 court date.

Police: Couple Leaves Kids in Car to Use Drugs at Gas Station Christmas Eve

The parents bought the heroin earlier in the evening with the kids in tow before stopping at a Darien gas station, police said.

A married couple has been accused of shooting heroin in a Shell station bathroom on Christmas Eve while their two children waited in the car, Darien police said.  Georgina Burr, 27, of the 500 block of Don Marquis Drive in Walnut, IL, told police that the family had bought heroin on the west side of Chicago earlier in the evening, according to reports. She and her husband, Andrew, 25, stopped at the Shell station on Cass Avenue around 7 p.m. to use the heroin, police said.  A witness saw the couple go into the women’s bathroom at the gas station, leaving a 10-year-old and a 4-year-old child in the parked car for about 10 to 15 minutes. All around this is horrible ..i feel bad for the kids who didnt get to have their parents with them on christmas because drugs were more important!
