Economic Development Agreement Paves the Way for Restaurant
City will improve parking lot at site of new Chuck’s Southern Comforts Café on Cass Avenue.
The Darien City Council voted Monday night to authorize an economic development agreement that will literally help pave the way for a new restaurant to open at the site of the former Cornerstone Restaurant on Cass Avenue. According to the terms of the agreement between the City of Darien and Chuck’s Southern Comforts Café, the city will act as general contractor on a project to repave the parking lot, add parking lot striping and blocks, repair storm sewers and run underground wiring for lights, for a total cost of $300,000.
