Man was found Wednesday near 67th and Cass.
Darien police are investigating the death of a man near 67th Street and Cass Avenue after finding a body early Wednesday morning. Police Chief Ernest Brown said a 911 call came in to police at 7:30 a.m. about a man lying on the ground near the border of Darien and Westmont. The man was a white male, and police have a tentative identification but are waiting for the next of kin to positively identify the man before releasing any more information. Brown said police are conducting a death investigation and wouldn't say whether any foul play is suspected. "I don't want to go out on a limb," he said. Ronald Weinberg, 68, of Downers Grove, died of natural causes Tuesday in the unincorporated DuPage County preserve, police said.
Authorities in DuPage County have released the name of a man whose body was discovered in the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve in unincorporated Lemont on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the DuPage County Coroner's Office identified the man as 68-year-old Ronald Weinberg of Downers Grove. Lemont Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy told Patch on Tuesday that police were called to the forest preserve around 4 p.m. after the body was found along railroad tracks near Bluff Road. Weinberg appears to have died of natural causes, said DuPage County Sheriff's spokeswoman Dawn Domrose. It is unclear how long he had been in the preserve. Yes we knew. We the family of Ronald Wienberg knew it was our Ronald whose body was found in the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve on March 20. He was out the first day of Spring looking for butterflies he so dearly loved when he had a massive heart attack.
