Coolidge Wins Democratic Nomination in 6th District

Barrington Hills resident Leslie Coolidge has won the Democratic nomination to compete against Republican incumbent Peter Roskam for the 6th Congressional district seat. Beating out her two opponents, Geoffrey Petzel and Maureen Yates, Coolidge thanked her volunteers and supporters Tuesday around 9:15 p.m. at Cooper's Hawk in South Barrington. “We’re here because of the work of everyone in the room,” Coolidge said. Coolidge, who is a retired CPA, talked about taking her fundraising and grassroots campaigning to the next level when she faces Roskam in the November election.
