Darien Man Charged in Police Seizure of 600 Pounds of Marijuana

A handful of local residents are charged. Here's how the bust went down.

A Darien man was one of five people charged in a police sting that netted about 600 pound of marijuana last week.  Dean A. One of Seven Charged in Drug Bust Found Guilty

A Bolingbrook resident was found guilty for his role in a drug bust that seized four kilos of cocaine.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced Friday that one of seven individuals facing drug charges as the result of a month-long investigation led by the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group (DuMeg) with the assistance of the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office has been found guilty for his role in a drug bust that resulted in the seizure of four kilos of cocaine with a street value of $120,000. Late Thursday afternoon, after approximately 3 1/2 hours of deliberations, a DuPage County jury found Alfredo Garcia, 36, of Bolingbrook, guilty of one count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one Count of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver.
