Tribune: Darien Kidnap Victim had 'Always been Afraid' of Kidnapper
A woman kidnapped at knifepoint early Friday had been denied an order of protection against her attacker last month, the Tribune reported Monday.
A Darien man charged with murder and aggravated kidnapping was ordered to be held without bail Monday. Joseph Spitalli, 34, of 7529 Country Lane in Darien, was taken into custody Sunday and charged with murder in the stabbing death of 31-year-old Teymur Huseynli, of Skokie. Spitalli was also charged with aggravated kidnapping after officials said he kidnapped Huseynli's ex-girlfriend, 28-year-old Kristina Baltrimaviciene.
