THURSDAY, FEB. 28 Someone cut the passenger side tires of a vehicle on the 7000 block of Richmond Avenue between midnight and 4 a.m. The total loss was $1,000. TUESDAY, FEB. 26 Someone spray painted blue and white graffiti on the south end retaining wall of a business on the 2000 block of 75th Street. The incident was reported at 4 p.m. MONDAY, FEB. 25 Someone or something left a scratch in the paint of a vehicle from the passenger side rear door to the rear of the vehicle. The owner also reported scuffs on the front of the passenger side mirror during the incident, which occurred at 6:04 p.m. in a parking lot on the 8300 block of Woodland Drive. Walmart TVs Stolen, Purse Snatched at Sportsplex: Police Blotter

Darien police reports, Feb. 5-21.

SATURDAY, FEB. 9 A purse was taken from a victim at the Darien Sportsplex at 1:05 p.m., police said, and the loss was valued at $415. No suspect information was provided. An unknown person put shaving cream and purple yogurt on two cars parked in the driveway of a residence in the 1800 block of McAdam Road between 9 p.m. and midnight, police said. No cost of damage was reported.  WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6 Several televisions worth a combined $596 were stolen from Walmart, 2189 75th St., between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6, police said. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 Sometime between 1:40 p.m. on September 28 and 1:30 p.m. on September 29, someone damaged a garage in the 8200 Block of Sweetwater Cove. The homeowner reported to Darien Police that the total loss was $2000. Sometime between 3 p.m. on September 28 and 12:01 a.m. on September 29, Darien Police say someone wrote names into wet concrete at the front of the Darien Sportsplex on Plainfield Road

Police Blotter: House Egged on Brewer, Trees Toilet-Papered on 69th Street

Darien Police Reports Sept. 19 - Sept. 23.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 Sometime between 11 p.m. on September 22 and noon on September 23, someone egged a house on the 3100 Block of Brewer. The homeowner told Darien Police that someone threw several eggs at the front window of the home. No damage was listed in the report. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 Darien Police say that at about 4:11 a.m., someone unraveled several rolls of toilet paper on trees and fire hydrants on the 400 Block of 69th Street. There was no monetary damage for the vandalism. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 At about 1:30 a.m., a McDonald's Employee reported that five people had damaged a seating booth at the McDonald's at 809 Plainfield Road. Police Blotter: Tires Slashed, Other Recent Criminal Damage Reports

THURSDAY, AUGUST 23 Sometime between 5 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 7:45 a.m. on Aug. 23, someone slashed the tires of a car parked in a common parking area at the 1100 Block of Plainfield Road. The damage was estimated to be $300. MONDAY, AUGUST 20 Sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., someone egged a house and cars parked in the home's driveway on the 6900 Block of Crest. Total cost of clean-up was estimated at $100. SUNDAY, AUGUST 19 Sometime between 8 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 5:59 p.m. on Aug. 19, someone used an unknown object to damage a mailbox on the 1600 Block of Old Oak Place. Police Blotter: Pick-Pocket Strikes Walmart, 2 Cars Burglarized

Someone shattered, but didn’t break through, the glass in the front door of Veet Tobacco around 1:52 a.m., Darien police said. Nothing was missing and no one got inside, the owner said. The glass will cost at least $300 to replace. Someone took an iron bench overnight from the front porch of a home on the 2200 block of Carlow, police said. The bench was worth about $125. Someone took a woman’s wallet from her purse while she was shopping around 11:40 a.m. at the 75th Street Walmart, police said. The total loss was more than $300. Burglars broke out the rear passenger-side window and took a purse from the back seat of a car parked near the intersection of Elm and Sunrise between 6:45 and 8 p.m., police said. Police Blotter: Car Stolen with Wedding Dress Inside, Home Burglarized

Darien police reports, May 5-13.

Someone drove a car onto the lawn of a home on the 1900 block of 72nd Street overnight, Darien police said. The incident caused about $50 in damage. That same night, a car was also driven onto the lawn of a home on the 1700 block of Boulder, causing about $300 in damage. A mailbox was knocked off its post overnight on the 6900 block of High Road, police said. The incident caused about $30 in damage. Another mailbox was knocked off its post that same night on the 6600 block of Bentley, police said, causing about $150 in damage. An unlocked bike was taken between 5 to 9 p.m. from near a parking spot in a common garage of an apartment complex on the 400 block of Redondo Drive, Darien police said. The bike was worth about $250. Police received an anonymous report that someone threw toilet paper and a hand sanitizer bag into a toilet at Lindenwood Park around 4 p.m. Raymundo Garcia, 59, of the 8200 block of Lemont Road in Downers Grove, was arrested near the intersection of Plainfield and Williams around 1:30 a.m., police said. Garcia was driving erratically on Plainfield Road when officers stopped him, according to the report. He smelled strongly of alcohol and had red, glassy eyes, police said. A purse containing a wallet, credit cards, cash, documents and a cell phone was taken from an unlocked car parked on the 7900 block of Cass Avenue, Darien police said. The items were worth about $265. Vandals knocked a mailbox of its post overnight in front of a home on the 1900 block of 71st Street, police said. The mailbox wasn’t damaged. Police Blotter: Woman Almost Drives Into Police Car, Faces DUI Charges

Darien police reports, April 10-13

Vandals damaged a fence, propane grill valve and a landscaping cord holding a tree at a home on the 1700 block of Wildwood Lane over the course of four days, Darien police said. The incidents caused about $160 in damage. A total of four soccer nets were taken from Smart Oaks Park and Darien Community Park overnight, police said. The nets had a combined value of $400. Kathleen Grace Enright, 49, of the 200 block of West 68th Street in Darien, was arrested around 10:20 p.m. on the 7800 block of Clarendon Hills Road, police said. Enright almost hit a police car while turning onto Clarendon Hills Road, the report said. She then started speeding 45 mph in a 30-mph zone, police said.
