Sheriff's Office: 2 Men Try to Lure Child into Car in Farmingdale South
The men told the boy they had candy and offered him a ride in their car, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office said in a release.
Updated 3:10 p.m. Two men tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into their car Friday in the Farmingdale South subdivision in unincorporated DuPage County, the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office said in a release Wednesday. The neighborhood is in an area south of 87th Street and west of Lemont Road. The men approached the boy around 5 p.m. Friday while he was riding his bicycle and offered him candy, as well as a ride, the release said. The Sheriff's Office is not releasing the exact location of the incident. Instead of getting in the car, the boy rode his bicycle home, the release said.
