Sen. Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) will run unopposed in the 41st District after the Illinois State Board of Elections ruled that Bradley lacked enough signatures on his nominating petition.
Lemont resident Duane Bradley has been removed from the March 20 Republican primary ballot for the 41st Senate district, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections. In a hearing held Monday morning in Chicago, the Illinois State Officers Electoral Board sustained an objection filed Dec. 9 by Homer Township Highway Commissioner Michael DeVivo against Bradley's nominating petition, according to the state board's website. This makes no sense. Bradley either 1) can't count -- submitting his nominating papers with 700 fewer signatures than needed, 2) can't read instructions or 3) purposely tried to skirt the rules to get on the ballot. Conduct that doesn't give a very good testament as to why he should hold public office. The guy came in dead last in a local SB election why does he think he can and should be elected…   more ›
