Lions Club Halloween Party Perfect for Kids

The Darien Lions Club is again hosting a safe and fun Halloween party for area children.

It goes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Darien Sportsplex. There is no cost.

Each year more than 1,300 children and 500 ice skaters come out to enjoy a safe and fun-filled Halloween evening, complete with the Lions' famous "graveyard," games, a magician and entertainment, according to the Lions Club website.

"We're happy to host this party to provide a safe Halloween environment where kids of all ages can have a lot of fun," event chairman Lion Troy Fleming said.

There will be a mini-bus shuttle providing free rides should the Sportsplex lot become full. There are two nearby pickup locations: the Indian Prairie Public Library and Ashton Place.
