Westmont Man Brings Gun to BMW Golf Championships

Lake Forest police arrested a man Sept. 16 who they said tried to bring a concealed weapon into the BMW Championships. A portion of Riverwoods Road was closed for two hours while police investigated.

Lake Forest police arrested a man who they said attempted to bring a concealed firearm into the BMW Championship at Conway Farms Golf Club Monday morning.

Mark T. Fedder, 48 of 30 North Oakley, Westmont, was found in possession of a firearm during routine security procedures at the main entrance of the golf club shortly after the gates opened at 7 a.m., police said in a press release.
